What We Do?
Skin Check
We perform thorough, head-to-toe skin checks to evaluate any spots of concern. We use a dermatoscope to better diagnosis skin lesions and determine if a biopsy is necessary. Additionally, we examine the patient’s hair, skin, and nails for a variety of dermatologic conditions.
Conditions We Commonly Treat
Squamous cell skin cancer Basal cell skin cancer Melanoma Age-related skin changes Moles Acne Rosacea Seborrheic dermatitis Eczema Psoriasis
Vascular birthmarks Cherry angiomas Vitiligo Hair loss Hyperhidrosis-excessive sweating Warts Molluscum Nail problems Skin infections Ringworm (tinea)
Intralesional steroid injection may be indicated for the following skin conditions:
Alopecia areata
Discoid lupus erythematosus
Keloids/hypertrophic scars
Granuloma annulare
Other granulomatous disorders such as cutaneous sarcoidosis or granuloma faciale
Hypertrophic lichen planus
Lichen simplex chronicus
Localised psoriasis

Other localised inflammatory skin diseases
Electrodesiccation and Curettage
Electrodesiccation and curettage (ED&C) is a minimally invasive technique to treat low-risk skin cancers and some benign lesions. The process involves numbing the area to be treated followed by gentle and precise curettage (scraping) and cauterization. There are no stitches, and the site heals within one to two weeks.
Scar Treatment
Our team has extensive experience treating scars, to include Dr. Burns authoring a chapter in a text book created by leading world experts titled, “The Scar Book.” Scars are complex, and our team will start with a thorough evaluation of your scar and customize a treatment plan suited to your goals of therapy. Treatments may include intralesional injections, massage, topical therapy, laser, chemical peels, or in some cases, surgical revision.
